Ag City is a new initiative built around a simple idea: when local agriculture thrives, our whole community benefits. We work to strengthen the connections between farmers, ag-related businesses, students, and neighbors — creating more visibility, more support, and more shared investment in the future of agriculture. Whether it’s helping a small business reach new customers or helping a student find their path through hands-on experience, our goal is to keep agriculture rooted in community. Ag City encourages people to shop locally, support their farmers and ag professionals, and recognize the essential role agriculture plays in our daily lives. Through collaboration and community involvement, we’re working to grow a more connected, sustainable, and resilient future for local agriculture — and everyone who’s part of it.
What We Do
Ag City brings attention and support to the people and businesses that keep local agriculture alive. We promote farms, ag-based businesses, and related services to help them grow and stay connected to the communities they serve. A big part of what we do is advertising and raising awareness for local agriculture-related businesses — from growers and ranchers, seed suppliers, and more. By spotlighting these businesses, we help neighbors shop local, build lasting relationships, and see the value agriculture brings to everyday life.
We also partner with our local school district through the Incubators program, which helps high school students explore agriculture careers through mentorships, internships, and real-world experience. Education and youth development are a big part of our mission, and we’re proud to help students discover opportunities in this vital field.
Coming soon, we’ll be launching the Ag City Visitors Bureau. A dedicated space to showcase the people, services, and businesses that make up our local ag community. It will serve as a resource for residents, partners, and businesses to discover all that Ag City has to offer. Through connection, visibility, and shared purpose, Ag City is helping build a stronger, more resilient future for local agriculture.
